The Home Army Museum
The AK Museum commemorates the struggle for independence by the
underground Polish Secret State and its military arm – The Home Army (Armia
Krajowa). It was the largest resistance movement in the occupied Europe during
World War II and places today a significant role in the Polish history. The idea
behind the museum is to provide a holistic picture of the Polish underground,
which, because of the communism, was a prohibited topic even many years after
the war.
