Jerzy Kossak

Jerzy Kossak, a Polish realistic painter, who specialized in military scenes, came from an extremely artistic family – he was son of painter Wojciech Kossak, grandson of painter Juliusz Kossak and a brother to poet Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska and novelist Magdalena Samozwaniec. The history family manor called ‘Kossakowka’ still stands in Krakow.
