Divine Mercy Sanctuary

The church dedicated to the Divine Mercy devotion is most know as the resting place of Saint Faustina Kowalska, canonized in 2000. The Pope John Paul II visited the church in 1997, and when Benedict XVI visited the chapel nearly 10 years later, he unveiled a statue of Pope John Paul II at the observation tower at the basilica.
